Gaming the System

All work, all play.

Back to the grind

Gonna be tracking my web activity, at least the interesting stuff, on twitter. Chromed Bird is the chrome extension that makes it possible. Hopefully, some of the stuff I’m reading will catch someone’s eye and spark a fruitful (almost wasted time typing “interesting”) conversation.

Working on my resume so I can get in touch with Cryptozoic game studio, an outfit that is filled up with ex-UDE’rs, though I don’t know how strong an in that is for me.

Also, need to get started on learning flash…good ideas for facebook games won’t be worth anything if I don’t get them out there. especially since they are obvious enough that someone will develop them sooner rather than later.

bummer not to get the Meteor Games position, but it’s good to get the interview and contact. Definitely need to prepare for long haul while looking for work (especially if you’re going to be pick about it).

First video game design interview next week

Meteor Games is the studio. They’ve released two FB games, Tropical Island and Little Rock Pool. Going to spend the weekend studying up for that.

On a less inspiring note…kind of embarrassing when you ask someone to take a look at your resume and they find a typo (were instead of where) in the first line. At least I knew that line already needed to go thanks to feedback from Blue Sky Resumes.

I won’t know until I have a job, but I feel like I’m being productive. And in a long-term, dividends w/ interest kind of way.
